Thanks Rex. I may have been the one to get disgusted first and kick up a fuss, but there's no way I would have even considered this if it hadn't been a group effort with organized and experienced people who wanted the same type of thing. This is going to be fun.

Still, things are going pretty good I'd say. New member sign up at HHub has crawled to a halt, almost the same for new posts.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it took us a couple of weeks to get to 30 or so, and then the culties showed up and we got a lot of new people at once. This is much faster.

I really believe Christina that if we keep to initial concept this place could be exactly what a whole lot of fine folks have been hoping to find (me included). There's a lot of really fine people here already. What's not to like? I always thought it would do well, but admittedly so far better than expected. I didn't mean literally driving a car, I meant giving me admin rights to set up the software. I'm better at hyper-posting than at taking my time and being careful. My driving is usually fine unless I'm not, and then I try not to drive unless I have to.

We've been open a week. In that time, we've amassed almost 200 threads, over 3000 posts and 85 members. More important, we've hammered out some reasonable guidelines for members and for moderators and are getting somewhere with a governance structure.

We had some concerns about opening the doors before we had more details hammered out, but so far it seems to be working out.

Congrats to EVERYONE! You've made it happen. :yay::notworthy::yay:

Damn! I noticed earlier this month that we had a major milestone coming up, and then I lost track.
