Just thought I'd point out this little quirk: If you go into a section, read a thread with new posts, then go straight from that thread to the main page, the section will still have an icon indicating that there are new posts, even though there are none.

Does the Icon change when you do a refresh when you get back to the main page?

We theoretically have ajax enabled, which should refresh it.

Just to add to the problems to be solved, it appears that if you make a post, you have to go back and read your own post to make the thread show as read.

I think I found the fix to this. The default setting would basically require a refresh to mark a forum or post as read. I switched it on so that it stores the information in the database and does a lookup. so both issues are hopefully solved now.

Everything is new all of a sudden, but I'm assuming that's because the settings were refreshed, so probably not an ongoing problem.

Ya, it did a board-wide refresh as part of saving the setting because it had to start saving the state in the database when it wasn't before. let me know if you continue to see issues.
