Linking to posts in their thread context

I thought I saw this mentioned a while back, maybe by Martin B? Anyway, it would be, erm, 'way cool', if we could have like many another board, and up in the top right corner of a post, the post's actual post number and a link to it. So we can have the option of linking just to a post, or to it within the thread, either for context or so we can say 'here and following', 'from here onward', etc. I'd have thought it would be standard :dunno:

Any reason why not?
