Matty sent me the link, and I see a bunch of familiar faces. Will try to remember to pop in here: keep joining up to forums and forgetting about them, which is naughty. :p
Anywhere, for those who don't know me, I'll c&p my usual introductory post: I'm slideyfoot pretty much everywhere on the net, 26 years old, living in England (though not technically English: background is somewhat mixed up, with Turkish father, German mother, born in Belgium).
My main thing is martial arts - I've trained BJJ at the Roger Gracie Academy since Nov 2006, having come from a background in a stand-up style (random thing I did at uni called Zhuan Shu Kuan: very small, so I'd be surprised if anyone's heard of it). Did my first competition (http://slideyfoot.blogspot.com/2007/08/05082007-bristol-open-bjj.html) last year, and if anyone wants to see where I'm at technically, bunch of vids online of me getting squashed at the Belfast Throwdown (http://slideyfoot.blogspot.com/2007/08/18082007-belfast-throwdown.html). Some others about from the more recent Oxford TD, but I'm kinda teeny in the background so hard to tell. ;)

Aside from that, I'm big on poetry (been studying it at uni since 1999, in which time I've become steadily more snobby about it. I'm now at the stage where I hate pretty much every modern poet, and plenty of older ones too. Amazing some of the tripe that gets published), history, music (see the last.fm link (http://www.last.fm/user/slideyfoot/) in my sig), film, art (my favourite period is Mannerism, so unsurprisingly Parmigianino is my all-time fave painter) and travel.
