I posted here (http://talkrational.org/showthread.php?p=184071#post184071), and have a formatting problem.

The conclusion is this:

Conclusion:

Stumpjumper undertook to show that theist morality was more reasonable than atheist morality. He failed to do so for the following reasons:

He made "practical consequences" the test of reasonableness, but theist morality does not exceed atheist morality in "practical consequences."<li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, lucida,'lucida grande',arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;">Not raping for theistic reasons is no better than not raping for atheistic reasons.<li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, lucida,'lucida grande',arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;">Atheists can be reasoned with about morality.<li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, lucida,'lucida grande',arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 10pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;">Theistic morality is a form of irrationalism that, even if otherwise harmless, tends to encourage other irrationalism, some of which will not be harmless.
Stumpjumper's morality is based on more assumptions, and less likely assumptions (and is therefore less likely to be true) than is atheist morality.
Stumpjumper's morality depends on the unstated and indefensible assumption that the purposes of gods are privileged over those of other people.

I don't know what to think, because right now, as I'm composing this message in Firefox, the second, third, and forth bulleted items (out of six) are properly indented. but when I go to the debate thread and look, they are indented if I'm in Chrome or IE, but they are not indented when I'm in Firefox.

Edited to add: This looked good while I was composing, but when I posted it, the second, third, and forth items were all gibberishy mark up tags.

He made "practical consequences" the test of reasonableness, but theist morality does not exceed atheist morality in "practical consequences."

Not raping for theistic reasons is no better than not raping for atheistic reasons.
Atheists can be reasoned with about morality.
Theistic morality is a form of irrationalism that, even if otherwise harmless, tends to encourage other irrationalism, some of which will not be harmless.

Stumpjumper's morality is based on more assumptions, and less likely assumptions (and is therefore less likely to be true) than is atheist morality.

Are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th bullet points supposed to be aligned with the 1st, 5th and 6th?

1, 5, and 6 are main points.

2, 3, and 4 are sub points of 1; they should be indented.

I'm in firefox now, and your post looks perfect: The three main points have black dots and are lined up to the left. The three sub points have hollow dots and are indented.

I composed my post in Word, and tried to clean it by pasting it into notepad, and then copying it from notepad to here.

When I look at your post in the Rat Ring thread, I see the same indentation as above, but the subpoint bullets aren't hollow. Thie above was just a copy/paste.

I see 1,2,3,4,5 and six bulleted at the same level, as if you had typed:

He made "practical consequences" the test of reasonableness, but theist morality does not exceed atheist morality in "practical consequences."
Not raping for theistic reasons is no better than not raping for atheistic reasons.
Atheists can be reasoned with about morality.
Theistic morality is a form of irrationalism that, even if otherwise harmless, tends to encourage other irrationalism, some of which will not be harmless.
Stumpjumper's morality is based on more assumptions, and less likely assumptions (and is therefore less likely to be true) than is atheist morality.
Stumpjumper's morality depends on the unstated and indefensible assumption that the purposes of gods are privileged over those of other people.

which would produce:

He made "practical consequences" the test of reasonableness, but theist morality does not exceed atheist morality in "practical consequences."
Not raping for theistic reasons is no better than not raping for atheistic reasons.
Atheists can be reasoned with about morality.
Theistic morality is a form of irrationalism that, even if otherwise harmless, tends to encourage other irrationalism, some of which will not be harmless.

Stumpjumper's morality depends on the unstated and indefensible assumption that the purposes of gods are privileged over those of other people.

What you probably want is:

If you are using the 2007 version of WORD, I'm not sure how well the vBulletin parser can deal with the tags in the word document. If you use either the 2003 version, or the save as... function, and save it as a Word 2003 version, it should work. or just use the vbulletin tags as above.

Got it. Thanks.
