We had discussed this before, but I can't find the original thread.
When George Carlin expired, a nice simple RIP banner was set up in the site header. Later on suggestions were made to maybe get a banner going where there's a lot of white space then/now, with rotating quotations of freethinkers (not necessarily just atheists). It wouldn't be a difficult thing to set up just a text-based display, and we've got a great think tank here to make suggestions for a database of quotes.
So was this just something that got lost, or was there an issue with it?
I just hate all that blank space that can serve a purpose, not just quotes, it could be used for major news as well (as the Carlin quote was).
