Because Cthulhu has no interest in such things. That would be more Shub-Niggarath's thing. Or even Azathoth's, if he could use it to snap your little mind into shards and drive you quite insane in the process. Cthulhu would be more the stomp & swallow now, don't bother with questions later sort.
