Who is the woman?
It's Eugenie Scott (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenie_Scott).
That's an awesome video. Thanks for posting Alethias.
I have seen this in several places now. Very clever. Very informed. But hard to peg.
The commenters on Panda's Thumb can't decide if it was made by ID supporters or science supporters.
What do you think?

Some have asked who did this. Although it does seem to favour ID, I think it was probably some clever people without a strong position on either the science or religion side of "creationism" but just like to take the piss out of famous people.

I dunno maybe I'm lacking the right sense of humour because I didn't find it all that funny?
Very clever, certainly, but.....:dunno:

I guess it's a matter of taste. I thought it quite amusing. I doubt it's actually a creationist thing; most creationists don't really have a sense of humor.
An added note: The lyrics to the rap song are a little hard to make out. Here is a transcript (with footnotes to explain references to Paley and "Soapy Sam" Wilberforce, etc.):

Well, I believe there are three things that distance this clip from the modern creo/ID movement:
The maker seems to be well-versed in History of Science,
The maker is talented,
The maker has a sense of humor.
That, and some other hints (the two scientists story, f.e. is hilariously extrapolated, more like a parody of what IDers say: It makes you think "wtf would believe that"?), make me believe that it's made by someone who is neutral on this issue at the least, and simply tries to do a good job at parodying Dawkins et al.

The video is too hilarious -- and the gyrating Genie Scott is so over the top that it could only have been done with affection!

Couldn't be from the ID camp, didn't have enough farty noises. ;)
I do agree that the absence of "farty noises" makes it unlikely to be an ID-inspired video.
But oddly, the makers have not stepped forward to identify themselves. While the science side is split as to whether the video is science-sympathetic or creationistic, the creationists are clear on this - they are sure this is a creationist creation. According to DaveScot at Uncommon Descent:
Almost without exception it’s being called brilliant in artistic execution. There’s just about an even split on who it disses more, scientists or creationists. But not on Uncommon Descent where everyone thought it was dissing scientists.

Let them think that. The joke's on them.
