Rant box or irc chat

I know I've only been here a few days, but I do chat at Stopperbot and at the chat at exchristians. I'd appreciate either a rantbox, or irc room for the members of this forum.

I don't personally like chat and I'd probably never use it, but as long as it was collapsible and didn't have any performance issues I can't see why it would cause a problem. Maybe I'll change my mind if I hear good objections but I don't mind. I think that Matt would have to OK it if we decide that we want it.

I suppose that there could be moderation issues if there were complaints.

The only problem would be jerks who'd try to spam the chatbox and lag it for others. :yuck:

I dunno. I'd be minded to wait a bit longer, let the society knit together a lot more before splitting into two venues with different standards, different denizens and a different look-and-feel. And besides, we need content *here*. If something, however trivial, is on your mind, make a thread!
