Actually, he did, a while back. That's what his last suspension was for; posting the real name of the poster in question. Since he came back, he's repeatedly prodded the same poster, dropping hints about the same name. That's harrassment. Whether or not the hints he dropped were strong enough to constitute personal info is a separate question, though I'd say they very much were.

Okay. That's not this time. Bart didn't post anyone's irl info this time. What he did last time has no bearing on his current suspension.

I saw the last post that was reported and before it was redacted, it didn't have <redacted member's handle>'s actual name in it. As for the other person figuring it out, they probably found out because they already knew <redacted member's handle>'s name or they fgi.

And? Short of actually posting it here, it doesn't matter how careless someone is with their personal info; responsibility for leaking it here lies with the person who did it.

And no one leaked <redacted member's handle> 's info here, in this situation that Bart was suspended for.

I think one or two of the admins might be playing favorites. I get what they took issue with, but I think Bart's just a confrontational and controversial enough poster to get pinged with something others might get away with. He also made a mistake of flying solo, instead of picking a target people were already ganging up on.

Four admins wouldn't help you here. A significant portion of the board is tired of Bart's dumb baby shit. I haven't been following this latest round of nonsense with him, and it could very end up being unfair, but I certainly wouldn't put money on it.

In which case, I don't see how it could constitute revealing personal information. MAYBE one could make a case for harassment, but dropping dox, not so much IMO.

It's harassment. The mechanism of the harassment is by continuously letting the harassee know that Bart knows his RL name and is prepared to post close variants of it. It was also enough to allow at least one member here to identify it.

It's also not that hard to figure out by another method, but I won't give it, for obvious reasons.
