It is hard to tell if he was right to do it. If he was just linking to [redacted] facebook page then that is no an emergency. If he was repeatedly linking to the page and claiming that the page belonged to one of our registered members then it might be an emergency. With everything deleted it is hard to tell.

You don't actually have to claim that the page belongs to one of our members to violate that member's privacy rights. If member X starts a thread complaining about people posting her real name and those people then start posting facebook links/her real name in that thread, then that's just as big of a problem as actually claiming that some Facebook page belongs to member X.

He was posting screencaps of various Facebook pages, all of them had her in them.

I suspended him because it was blatant harassment. Those posts fall under the charter's definition of "personal information" and he was posting it specifically to fuck with her. He's making comments about her weight, appearance, etc. It is simply vicious and stupid and pointless, and just because we allow a lot of shit here doesn't mean the place needs to turn into a total goddamn sewer.

If he agrees to stop doing it, I have no problem lifting the suspension.

So here's the deal. Below is a post noisy made in Febble's recall thread. It is a prime example of the way totally OT harassment seeps into and derails various discussions. So what does Ty do? He jumps onto the dogpile.

Meanwhile, just a couple hours ago on the same thread he redacted a single letter typo I made. One letter-n instead of m. Now you may-and many will-laugh about his response because you don't like me. Chances are I don't like you either.

But popularity on TR can be fickle. If you find yourself taking a position many disagree with, don't be surprised if you receive this kind of treatment.

So do you really want to leave someone who openly favors his friends, like below, with the ability to ban you? He actually threatened ST with a ban recently just for doing his job. Think about that when you vote. Ty led the charge on Febble for wanting to stop the Old Dan harassment, and following his lead his lap dog started a recall. It's exactly this kind of behaviour that has contributed to the ongoing decline in membership.

If you want to see TR become a ghost site like RnR, vote no on Ty and yes on Febble. If you'd like to see it grow and draw in new members, vote the opposite. If you look in my profile you'll see I have 12 references, and believe me I brought in far more than that who didn't bother to add how they learned about TR. Ty has 0 references, but I'd bet the list of those he drove off is a long one.
