...Helping newbie BardoXV get his post count off and running with a friendly game of chess.

Comments welcome. It's just a bona fides 'friendly'.

Only one rule - No taking back moves. (no editing posts.)

I can post a board image every 4 - 5 moves if you like.

I had a few nice chess games at Freethought Forum.
I've played chess in the past, but not with a clock, I like to take my time and think about my moves. I played with a young person who was in college while I had the shop, and even invited him to get help from other students, I still beat him. When I was in college my dorm wing had a chess tournament and I was set to play another person in the final, but it never happened, we couldn't get together.

Your move, if you like. (BTW, I know the old descriptive notation, so the newer notation might confuse me for awhile).

I didn't see you in the Colosseum over there. Do Nullifidian and Contraposto still hang out there?
I dropped a hint, but no-one took me up on it, but on FF that's understandable. Contraposto was playing with Megatron but the last post was 12-11-13, so I think that game is dead.

Your move, if you like. You be white while I set up my board. I'll just have to write everything down, 'cause the grandchildren like to play with the pieces.
