They keep talking about reintroducing the grizzlies in the north cascades. I'm not sure if maybe the dfw proposed it or sierra club sort of thing. And as far as cougars, never forget: Dan and Ann.

I'm not sure de-extinction is a practical notion considering that we aren't doing a very good job preserving the creatures we still have, but it would be pretty cool if someone could clone a mammoth. |

For me, the key think is more about ensuring that the ecosystem can support a decent level of self-sustainable biodiversity, rather than introducing specific species. I don't see the point of re-introducing a species if it means a constant effort to maintain its population in the environment (to stop it either exploding or collapsing)
