It was, actually. Portland sucks, but Oregon is a really cool place generally. So is Washington. Our hand got forced and we had to move back. We were intending on staying and moving to Seattle a couple months ago, but my parents got sick.

I'm debating about asking my Dad if he has his liberal knees yet.
An old boss of his had a daughter espousing liberal ideas and the father asked what if she worked very hard to get good grades and someone else didn't, would she share her grades with the other person.
And Dad repeats this as if it's a valid argument.

There is no way that Mom and Dad have paid enough in taxes over the decades to cover her medical expenses the last couple of years plus his medical expenses.

I don't mean it to. Please write it off as part my mild autism. They threw that in as a bonus when I bought my ADHD diagnosis.

There are some kinds of care that you guys might be better off than us..

But overall you need more people to abandon the ideological debates and go for a "do the math" argument.

Well after a couple years in a temperate climate maybe you forgot.

Since I'm now a homeowner instead of a renter I actually want to work on the house instead of doing the absolute minimum to not get cited by the city, but holy fuck it sucks outside right now. Just planting some flowers and spreading mulch and I'm drenched in sweat.

Alcohol soaks up water, so drink lots of vodka before you work outside.
