The Great Sausage Debate
http://answersingenes.blogspot.com/2...-sausages.html
Or is a sausage filled with chicken really a sausage?

re the OP: That blog post is witty enough, sure. But is it fair? Where are the examples of philosophers behaving in a way analogous to that?

ETA: For that matter, every time I've ever had a conversation with someone demanding to know what the practical fruits of philosophy are, they've just refused to accept that any of useful byproducts you can list are actually philosophy. The people who look around for these practical gains just cry No True Philosopher when you point out how valuable philosophical projects like first-order logic have turned out to be. Science involves basic philosophy skills (reasoning, argumentation, logic, deduction, induction, observation). Data without interpretation is not useful. Interpretation that cannot be backed up with argumentation is also not useful. A philosopher who rejected experimentation when it was readily available would indeed be foolish, but like Brother Daniel brought up, I'm not sure that's actually happening.

Did your question really exist? How do you know?
It may have been a figment of your imagination, possibly a hallucination. Are you on any medication?

An all natural chicken product is a chicken, not a sausage. No chickens naturally become sausages. I find your argument to be flawed.

Ya said "No chickens naturally become sausages." That's true. I counter that there aint no meat whatsoever, not pork, nor beef neither, that can naturally become sausage. Since all sausage is unnatural, and done gotta be made by hand, then it's entirely possible to make chicken sausage, y'hear? |
