and before someone says it, yes, male candidates are also judged on their looks. but to a much lesser extent. and men as a group do not generally have to battle being judged on their looks in the professional world more broadly. nor have they been completely excluded from the presidency (and almost totally from corporate governance too, btw) and deserved a break from bullshit like this in pursuit of executive jobs.

I like how this Brave Truthteller who's not afraid of the PC Police so quickly backpedals with a "who, me?" whenever he's called on his dumb bullshit. "I didn't mean all Mexicans!" "I meant her nose! You people with your minds in the gutter!" "By her face I meant her personality!"

The latest CNN poll has Trump at 32%, with both Trump+Carson and Trump 1st choice + Trump 2nd choice reaching 50%. I'm starting to waver in my faith that he'll fall in the polls eventually...

While the backpedalling on the idiotic Fiorina insult seems to be getting the more press, I thought it was interesting that he is getting into a Christianity competition with Carson:

Trump told CNN's Chris Cuomo on "New Day" that Carson, who was the first surgeon to separate conjoined twins joined at the head, was just an "OK doctor" and said "you look at his faith and I think you're not going to find so much."

Trump also called Carson's views on abortion "horrendous." Carson is staunchly opposed to abortion now, but was an abortion-rights supporter when he was younger and performed medical research on aborted fetuses in 1992.

"If you look at his past, which I've done, he wasn't a big man of faith. All of a sudden he's becoming this man of faith and he was heavy into the world of abortion," Trump said.

ETA: The pledge requires GOP candidates to endorse the nominee whoever it turns out to be. Endorse != vote, but it's not much of an endorsement if one has publically ruled out voting for the guy.
