Elf's abrasive (imo less so than before he was booted mostly for being abrasive) and regularly pisses me off and I suspect he doesn't respect me personally, but I trust him to act fairly despite his prejudices. Judging by his behaviours anyway.

The elf hasn't said anything particularly enraging in a long time and his moderation is fine afaics.

Agreed, but it was 9-8 against when my turn to vote came so... well, symmetry and stuff, you understand, 10-8 is just so... ugly.

I've never really had a problem with the elf's tendency to not want to take the time and effort to explain what he thinks is obvious, I suffer from that condition too. I do have some sympathy with people who genuinely can't see it, and aren't dummies but are just not seeing a particular perspective. There's no duty to explain for the hard of thinking, but put downs in those situations is often uncalled for, all the same. Meanwhile VoxRat really needs to leave soccy alone if he wants the freedom to report these meltdowns without people questioning his own impartiality.

I wish they'd all leave the clowns like soccy, a'clast etc alone. it fucks up postspy for the rest of us, and the regularity of new threads makes the ignore thread option barely effective. Blank him and send him trotting, or troll fuck out of him and leave him crying, but trying to force a coherent position, or (lol) a retraction out of him by force of textwall is just the height of stupidity. Ban them all.

the lulz either way are worth it. But, I disagree with one point here. Well, not really disagree but something like it. I use the new posts link when I first log on and ignore the two or three socrates, pahu, clast and forever threads, and that's usually all it takes for me. Ignoring those threads seem to pretty much contain that issue for me. And it seems pretty easy.

and I think most people have sympathy for your position. But the reports forum isn't the right place to insult people. That's an example of abusing mod privilege really. Saying, "doesn't seem like it needs any modding" or something is fine.

For the record though, as much as I like tormenting schneibler elf for no good reason, he is actually a good mod in that he makes good modding decisions and doesn't show favoritism. So, while recalling him a second time would definitely be worth it for the lol value, and that's enough that I guess i don't care which way this goes, he's good at not using personal shit to influence mod decisions and that's a good reason to keep him as mod.
