The Story of God with Morgan Freeman
I caught the first episode and it didn't completely suck.
He compares the views of the afterlife (nearly every religion has some belief in afterlife) between Christians, Hindus, Ancient Egyptians, and Jews. Talks about uploading our brain into a robot (without using the term Trans-humanism). It's very pop-sci/pop-philosophy level.

Freeman remained impartial and objective, but positive to religion in general (without ever mentioning atheism/agnosticism) the closing line was something like "whatever your faith... " blah blah blah.
Oh yeah, they also talked a bit about Near Death Experiences, and how similar experiences are across different faiths. Some see Jesus, some see lights, but so many report seeing something. One guy drowned and was in the water for a total of 15-18 minutes they brought him back and he is (now) convinced that there is some sort of afterlife. Here's a somewhat less charitable review of the whole series (or at least whatever parts the reviewer has watched).

He also narrates some sciency/universe series called Through The Wormhold. It's kinda similar to Sagan's Cosmos from the 70s but didn't get nearly as much hype as the Cosmos reboot that DeGrasse-Tyson hosted.

He also narrates a vote-for-Hilary ad currently running in NY.
(Logical conclusion: God wants you to vote for Hilary.)
