MLB playoffs thread

I for one am enjoying the hell out of this year's playoffs. Still not sure how the fuck Astros managed to lose today, but the Cubs are within one of knocking off the Cardinals. Of course, being the Cubs, they will manage to find a way to not go on to the NCS, in dramatic fashion.

The hype over the Cubs here long passed ridiculous levels. After the one-game WC win, local reporters were out on the streets asking Cubs fans if "they had been waiting their whole lives to see the Cubs get this far." The Cubs were in the NLDS in 2007 and 2008 and the NLCS in 2003. Unless they were 6 years old or younger, they would not have been waiting their entire lives for the Cubs to get to game 1 of the NLDS.

Yeah IDK in 2003 that was the first time they won a playoffs round for decades, that was notable. This not so much, except its a few years earlier than expected I guess.

Its a great young core, I have got to get to Wrigley next season for a game or two.

Yeah they hit their talent wall pretty hard there. Young team, should learn and grow from this but lolcubs won't see them back in NLCS for another decade.
