yesbut when I first started modding it was p well beaten into me that one doesn't use mod powers to ridicule other posters. Move posts, lock threads, sure, but when trimming out a derail say I was to write a descriptive, nonmocking new thread title. Of course, I was mentored by Luis, the BEST mod, but shit, here we can actually mock and belittle, insult, whatever, in text, in the thread, with none of the fear of moderation of other boards.

Also we have an ethic that mods are posters too, but not all posters can change thread titles etc. so this behaviour actually reinforces an elite.

I remember when Raven yelled at me and el jefe, well mostly el jefe, about using the MOD tags to screw around in threads.

We want the Deity known as Raven to have supreme powers but only when she agrees with us.
