New England is terrible
Does anyone even pronounce that word with a long "i"?
his rejection of paid-sick-leave law because Business seems pretty shitty?
Did we read the same article?
That guy doesn't actually seem all that bad, other than his comments on securing the border.
I believe it's time to leave this country.
Another school shooting. Relax though, it allegedly happened in Texas, but we know that is not possible because everyone is armed there so any shooter would be too afraid to go into a school and risk being shot himself. So it is probably fake news.
Can you relay some advice to Lee Zeldin?
https://www.freep.com/story/news/2018/05/17/troy-cile-precetaj-deported-albania/619066002/QuoteA mother with no criminal record was deported to Albania without being offered the opportunity to say goodbye to her three children or husband: The family was not officially notified of her removal.
Despite claims from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that it would notify the woman's family before removing her from the United States, her husband said that he did not learn that his wife was deported until 4 a.m. Thursday, when she called him from Germany telling him that she was en route to Albania with two ICE agents.
"My kids are devastated. They can't stop crying," Pete Gojcaj told the Free Press Thursday morning. "My children are traumatized ...QuotePrecetaj, 46, has been seeking asylum in the U.S. since 2000 and has no criminal record. She was spared deportation in 2014 by an executive order, but was arrested on April 26 during a routine monthly visit to the ICE office in Detroit.
Her three children, ages 8, 10, and 16, live with their father, Pete, a Yugoslavian immigrant who has lived in the U.S. for 30 years and owns a restaurant.
USA! USA! USA!
Another Michigan story:
"It impacts the entire community, regardless of your status," said Angela Reyes, executive director of the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, which is based in southwest Detroit. "We have Border Patrol sometimes sitting outside of our building and we have to go out and ask them to leave."
That is Damian's sister in law.
He is famous for the same reason Kim Kardashian is famous. There is a tape of him having sex with a black man.
That happens to me pretty regularly with my Nyt, WaPo, and New Yorker accounts.
The movie ends before he even has aids.
Here is a better analogy. The "world" decides that a bit of land is now going to belong to a certain people but there are already people living there that have been there for centuries and Jesus Christ what is the point, this shit shouldn't need to be explained anymore
That might be the worst analogy I've ever seen in my goddamn life.
Ok say I live in DC, and I love the Washington Wizards and hate the Knicks (and all the dirty Jews that live in NYC).
Say that Russia decides to move it's embassy from DC to NYC. Why do I care? I'm not a Russian citizen, why do I give a fuck where some powerful foreign country puts it's embassies and consulates?
Jesus Christ, ST
There are roughly 62,980,160 terrible Americans.
Heard this on NPR friday night driving home, part 1 and 2 are great and the ending comment is awesome.
The article referenced in the TAL story:
This Forbes article has a few eye-openers:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnlamattina/2018/05/10/novartis-payments-to-trumps-personal-attorney-cast-a-cloud-over-all-of-biopharma/#34710f293738QuoteOne wonders what Novartis was thinking in entering such an agreement. Clearly, any sensible person would look at such an agreement cynically and come away with the view that Novartis was attempting to buy access to the President through his lawyer. Furthermore, the one year contract that Novartis had with Cohen - $100,000/month - is a lot of money for a lawyer with no background in healthcare. Didn't anyone at Novartis think about how badly this would look if such a deal was made public? Indeed, since this information came to light, Novartis has scrambled and said that Essential Consultants was "unable to provide the services that Novartis had anticipated related to US healthcare policy matters and the decision was taken not to engage further." However, the contract could only be terminated for cause and so payments continued to be made until the contract expired in February, 2018.I still feel like Novartis should be in deep shit over this one, Trumpocalypse aside. But maybe it's true that they can get away with it, even though everyone understands what they were doing and why.
Ordinarily, one would simply say that Novartis threw away $1.2 million by getting suckered in by a huckster. However, Novartis' motives are being questioned because of a new drug it was preparing for launch over this same timeframe. The drug in question was Kymriah, the first of a new class of therapies based on CAR-T technologies that cures the deadly childhood leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Novartis launched Kymriah at a cost of $475,000 for a course of treatment. However, as pointed out by Adam Feuerstein of STAT for Kymriah to be successful, Novartis needs the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to reimburse the drug's cost. As this fact becomes known to the general public, it's hard to believe that people won't come to the conclusion that Novartis was seeking to buy influence with the President with the hopes of gaining traction with the government to accept Kymriah's price.
If that's the case, my struggle against Apathetic Cynicism will get a lot harder.
I like how that article still managed to suck on big pharma's balls.
And now, this:
