Oh my sides.

Face it, thought never entered into it.

Google is your friend.

Do your own work.

Research Mt. Mantap yourself and form your own play-pen free opinion on whether the evidence suggests the state of the facility might be a factor in play.

Not sure why you are slobbering all over an NBC report which reports an outcome and has nothing to do with what lead to that outcome and hence nothing to do with what role Trump had to play, whether positive or negative.

And this has ...  what to do with ... whose "head rolling"  ?  :dunno:

Or is this now the official Dave Hawkins Mindlessly Rebroadcasts The Latest From The Conservative Play Pen thread?
This is "ever hopeful Dave" hoping that the Darwin debased Minds here will one day wake up and realize how stupid they have been in their assessment of Donald Trump.
My assessment of Donald Trump is capable of allowing that he may not be a total failure in everything he touches. Particularly regarding Korea.  That doesn't make him anything like a good thing. Also, all you've done is posted an infographic with a hypothesis.
I cannot think of a better hypothesis. Can you?

Yep. I can.

NK has sunk huge resources into their testing facility but can't keep testing nukes at their Mt. Mantap facility because too many previous tests too close to the surface in unsuitable geology have made the entire mountain unstable. Any further test risks blowing the entire top off the mountain and spreading radioactive disaster across a very wide area including parts of neighbouring countries. Add to that that further tunneling in that shattered rock would be very dangerous and very expensive.

So NK has a big problem, they need to keep testing to keep that sabre rattling but they can't test coz they've stuffed their mountain.

But never fear, along comes Trump on his white charger and gives them the perfect opportunity to turn that enormous problem into an opportunity. Now they can stop the testing and maintain the high ground by claiming to have totally forced concessions and been totally conciliatory and totally won.

Well done Trump. 8d chess in action.

My speculation seems far more logical to me than yours and is actually supported by known fact. Got any actual argument and reason which makes yours more likely?
Hahahahaha

Oh my sides!

Lol!!1!1

David got nuthin.

As always.

That doesn't make yours true. This is why you suck at science.
Of course it doesn't make mine true. But it makes it the best hypothesis that either one of us can come up with, does it not? And the only reason you keep saying I suck at science is because someone in whom you have placed misplaced trust says so. And the reason you trust her is because she is a very slick writer and persuader.
i am a 'he'.

It's not all about you ya know.

David's still all butthurt Pingu 'tricked' him into almost putting 2 and 2 together.

I wonder if Bezos or Branson would accept TLAR as evidence to support this expedition.

Pfft, doesn't matter. If they have any objections or questions David can just ignore them for a day or so and they will majickally go away.

That's just how hero scientist world savers fly baby!

Contempt of court is a badge of honor for these guys. Just ask Sheriff Arpaio.

Any actual knowledge, however accidental, of judicial process is a failure of career threatening magnitude it appears.
11
I don't get why you'd bother editing that kind of thing like that. It seems completely pointless to me.

Because it's unviewable without a Kardashian or a cheezy competition thats all about the celebrity judges. Totes obv.
12
So you have two trials, "notreatment" and "animalsinabox".

What does that actually tell you?

Really not much.

In order to be informative I'd add "animalsnotinabox" and "emptybox".

Without those you are just reinforcing your own presuppositions.

difference in outcome to overstocking
Yes it's possible to overstock under both models. Of course. Is that what is being asked? And yes the outcome would be the same. Degraded land.
So what are you doing to ensure you don't (or the chief doesn't) overstock?
Like I've said before, it's an educated guess at first and then you just monitor animal condition and pasture condition on a daily basis. If I end up the year with not enough grass, then I know I'm overstocked.

This is what happens in a tropical rainforest when you end the year with a slight canopy deficiency:

14
IIRC Hawkins said he would know he's overstocked when the vegetation and/or soil is deteriorating. Presumably by the highly  sensitive TLAR criterion.

Does slashing and burning the canopy before you even start count as "deteriorating"? Enquiring minds and all that.
15
If you don't like my ideas, fine.  But for God's sakes, give me an intelligent objection.  Not this goddamn head up the ass stuff.

First you would require an intelligent and reasoned idea. There's the rub.

Tell me, what is the difference in outcome to overstocking within "traditional" grazing practices and overstocking within "holistically managed grazing"?

If deforestation for "traditional" grazing practices can be shown to have exacerbated desertification in the past, how does deforestation for "holistically managed grazing" avoid this?

No, "opening up the canopy to 50%" is not substantively different to deforestation.

Quotes because definitions are quite plastic, especially davinated ones.
okay I'm bored so I will pick one of fenrir's questions to answer... The first one.

The difference in outcome is that with holistic managed grazing you can have at least twice the carrying capacity. And that's just for starters. As time goes on you might be able to have triple or quadruple.

Notice how you managed to completely avoid addressing the actual question?

Yeah, I noticed that as well.

I also noticed the common yet unsupported cell grazing sales pitch, "quadruple eleventy times the carrying capacity". Totally all about responsible land management and ecosystem restoration.

That's not to say it isn't possible that well managed rotational grazing may be able to support higher stocking rates, but so far that's just an ambit claim.
You're an idiot. Go visit Greg Judy's Farm if you want to see it first-hand. When I was there he had a cattle herd of 300 animal units on 600 acres. That's double the standard Missouri stocking rate. Have I mentioned that you are an idiot?

Have I mentioned that you are studiously avoiding the actual question?

Why yes. Yes I have.

Out if his depth standing on a damp teabag.
okay what am I missing with your question? Maybe rephrase it because apparently I'm missing something.

The point?

The bigger picture?

The wood for the trees?

The elephant in the room?

I know, try reading.

Meh. Pingu was lurking yesterday, so not completely out.

Same reason the Cardinals agree about purgatory.

Now how about a question related to the topic of THIS thread?

Huge brass balls.

Anyone wanna borrow a microscope?
22
Wow. Watch those huge brass balls swing as David blandly and carefully avoids substantively addressing any relevant question. Such a delicate and convoluted dance.
23
Yes but why is that relevant to my goat and Sheep Project in Guyana?
You don't have a goat and Sheep Project in Guyana.

The Guyana Livestock Development Authority does though.

They are probably lurking this thread to get tips.
24
Yeah, he seems just peachy.

Catholic Cruelty: Pope Francis argues transgender teens must stop complaining, deny their lived experience, and "accept their own body as it was created."

In his new letter on marriage and the family, Amoris Laetitia ("The Joy of Love"), Francis claims that teaching kids about safe sex "promotes narcissism," that transgender teens should just stop complaining and "accept their own body as it was created," and that same-sex couples are not "legitimate families."

Claiming that transgender teens are "self-centered" and "self-absorbed," Francis writes:

Plenty more at link. Go read it, he just gets cuddlier and friendlier all the time.

These questions are an attempt to link the revealed wisdom of Davinity with base reality. To find out how you get from the mundane to your grand pronouncements.

These are the steps which seperate the genuine search for solutions from the salesmanship and slick patter of the fraud.

So far all I see are skyhooks. Skyhooks don't actually exist, everything needs a base.
