My brain can't follow those loops.

U.S. intelligence agencies issued a stern warning to Americans: Do not buy smartphones made by Chinese tech companies Huawei or ZTE.
Top officials from the CIA, NSA, FBI and the Defense Intelligence Agency testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee that the Chinese smartphone makers posed a security threat to American customers.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas asked the group to raise their hands if they would recommend private American citizens use products or services made by Apple competitor Huawei or smartphone maker ZTE. None of them did.

tweet was deleted?

Democrats flipped a state house seat in a district Trump won by a 5pt margin.

You thought Trump was done destroying the ACA?

I guess it depends on if there's any truth to the story.

"I want to thank every sheriff in America. Since our founding, the independently elected sheriff has been the people's protector, who keeps law enforcement close to and accountable to people through the elected process," Sessions said in remarks at the National Sheriffs Association winter meeting, adding, "The office of sheriff is a critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement."
"We must never erode this historic office," Sessions continued.

It was apparently an ad-lib.  And a bunch of pundits are pointing out that "Anglo-American law" is a more rarified term for "Common Law" and snarkily recommending google search.

Rachel Brand may or may not have quit because she was afraid she'd wind up in charge of the Mueller investigation.

And Rosenstein may or may not have told her he thought he was going to be fired.

I'm comparing my feelings about this story with how I felt after 911, when suspicious envelopes were sent to congressional offices and media companies.
Wherein the author reflects on the squeamish disconfort some carnivorous players experience when playing Monster Hunter: World.

Shadows of the Colossus sounds like a really fun game. :/

A Boston federal judge will be having a look at this on Feb 21.

Could put a damper on ICE?

The sandworm is obviously sorting and compressing different kinds of trash into pretty, homegenous cubes, not just moving it.

I'll look into it when I'm on the laptop...

General notes that may or may not apply

If you are in a thread at the time of your search, the default behavior is to search within the thread.  I think you can also wind up searching within earlier search results, too.

She combines the Chiaroscuro principle and the technique of Sfumato to create depth using light and dark contrasts. Woud-Binnendijk aims for "soft and imperceptible transitions" through layering colors and tones.

As long as it's consensual.

As long as it's consensual is probably going to be the yardstick applied in the CA gubernatorial race this year.
they'll do it anyways because unless the state police are going to arrest ICE agents on kidnapping charges, this law has no teeth.

The legal challenges are likely to happen in the 9th circuit, which for now isn't all that hospitable to Trump.
Mafia / Re: Norton's Empire: Day 5
Feel free to use the co-commuter role in future games.
There sure are a lot of people in comfortable positions calling for rioting and guillotines.

I wouldn't call his current position all that comfortable.  Your observation may fit a lot of other people, though.
Mafia / Re: Norton's Empire: Day 5
thanks for game, raven :)

i enjoyed being emperor and sending love notes

This was one of my favorite parts of the setup.

I guess I abuse the conventions often enough that nobody in my games thinks "Wait, raven would never give <main character> as a scum safe claim."

I bent the design a little too closely to the historical people this time,

I guess I can get away with it once in a hundred games or so.
