I think what I'll do is just set up a couple of suspension type-bans for different durations, and see how they work.

I admit only going to the user account, seeing a ban button, and thinking if I pressed it all was lost so to speak. Obv. must explore deeper.

Ugh, how many threads did he really spam up?  Most of the ones I looked at it was just a single empty quote so I didn't bother, but if he went back and did more damage later yeah, they should probably be cleaned up.
