  • whenever stevef posts a thread, i imagine a big sled pulled by a cheerfully trotting mammoth bouncing into town. the mammoth shakes off the snow from his back and says "we-e-e-e-ll helloooo thar, folks! have a gander at this!" and his trunk pulls back the tarp from over the sled and reveals a big haul of science, publications and fossil samples and strange liquids in vials, all freshly carved from the knowledge mines.

Hello Dworkin, let's be friends ElkArte buddies.
I can't count how many times in my life men have told me what to think or how to feel or argued with me about shit like street or sexual harassment.

When that happens you should think about how lucky you are to get such great advice; then you should feel appreciative for their concern.

Here's that dog who saved the fawn.

PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. -- Amazing video shows a dog saving a baby deer who was struggling to swim ashore.

Mark Freeley was walking his dogs, Storm and Sara, along a beach in Long Island when he noticed the fawn in the water, CBS New York reports.

"Storm just plunged into the water and started swimming out to the fawn, grabbed it by the neck, and started swimming to shore," Freeley said.

When Storm got back to shore, he put the deer down and laid down next to it.

Freeley immediately called experts, who scared the fawn back into the water when they arrived at the beach. After about eight minutes, Freeley and a member of Strong Island Rescue were able to once again save the deer.

The deer was covered in ticks and had an eye injury but is expected to be OK.

GOP isn't even hiding it anymore.

"This is the difference between being a liberal and a conservative. I do not support a livable wage," Karen Handel said during a debate with Democrat Jon Ossoff.

They're bringing back jobs - good jobs.

Jobs so great that you'll want need to work two or three of them.
Biological diversity isn't something you measure, it's something you feel.  It's all part of The Lying Narcissist's Shitheel Guide To Science, of which Dave is an adamant disciple.
Dave's similarities with Trump are uncanny

Artist Protests 'Fearless Girl' By Installing Urinating Dog At Her Feet

The "Fearless Girl" statue ―- the one installed adjacent Wall Street's charging bull during this year's Women's History Month ― has a new decrier.

Sculptor Alex Gardega told The New York Post that the proud, gangly young woman "is corporate nonsense."

"It has nothing to do with feminism," the artist went on. "And it is a disrespect to the artist that made the bull. That bull had integrity."

To protest, Gardega put up a work of his own: a shoe-sized pug urinating at the girl's ankles. Unlike "Fearless Girl" and the financial district's renowned bull, the dog is a carefully stylized work, rather than a realistic one.

This is Alex Gardega, the man who added 'pissing dog' next to 'Fearless Girl'

This is a misogynistic display regardless of what he says.

Imagine feeling so insecure by symbolism meant to inspire young women that you protest it with a statue of a urinating dog.

Man perturbed by powerful women protests #FearlessGirl statue with peeing dog. We need to talk about male fragility.
