Calling UofT the Penn of the North was p funny, but calling McGill the Oberlin of the North is clearly missing that its not even the most activist English university in Montreal...or does that make Concordia the Evergreen of the North?

And no mention of Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC.  Probably the prettiest setting for a Uni.

No UBC is a prettier campus, is not surrounded by surburban sprawl, and isn't made of prefabricated concrete that grows moss because it never stops raining. Its just really far away from everything.

God there are tons of missing universities, and all of the colleges, because the joke was too long as it was.

But lol if Alberta isn't also a flyover province too

The setting is awesome.  The buildings are mostly hideous.

ETA we lived in campus housing for our first year.  Amazing to be able to walk toddlers from daycare into old growth forest.

And Wreck Beach was an education for a toddler too.
