Air Force One
A complex military aircraft requires.....

Who seriously believes this is anything but government subsidation of a military contractor? Not denying that it is militarily expedient to subsidise a contractor to develop crucial military innovations, but to cripple a major contract for political points?

Russian involvement?

Not until you give it some context.

Trump tweeted something about AF1 replacement is too expensive.  Cancel the contract.

Still not sure of fredbear's point and how it relates to that, but...

fredbear appears to be braindamaged?

AF1 owns and I've talked with a guy doing some of the avionics for the retrofit of the current planes. Crazy redundant systems for everything.

Yep, lurkergurl.
It doesn't take long to fact check to prove that with every tweet, Trump is a bottomless pit of ignorance.

Trump is a bloated fool, who doesn't even have a clue what Air Force One is all about.
Someone needs to tweet Trump a memo informing him Air Force One is a highly customized mobile command center, with unlimited range, capable of refueling in mid-air. 3 levels, 4000 sq ft, reaching 620 miles per hour, which is a lot faster than Trump's personal "luxury" plane. It has the latest technology, advanced communications systems, security & safety equipment. The electronic system alone would protect his sorry fat ass from the electromagnetic pulse of a nuclear explosion.  And if someone shanked him in the kitchen galley (which can feed 100), there is a state-of-the-art medical office, directly behind the presidential suite on the plane.

On second thought, it's a great idea to cancel the contract on Air Force One.
Let Trump fly nationally & internationally on his own plane.

He'll still have the current Air Force One, right? And he can always later lie about having negotiated down the cost, because his supporters kind of gave him a carte blanche on inconsistencies and lies.

Yeah Trump will fly the current one regardless.  The new planes aren't expected to go live until 2020, I think.

I recall that Obama had similar feelings about Marine 1.  When he came into office he thought that current helicopter was just fine and didn't need to be replaced.

That would make his own plane Air Force One.

It's only Air Force One when the President is actually in it.

I wonder how much he would lease his plane to the administration for? and if it would be at a profit?  :hmm:

Trump don't need no stinkin plane. He'll sit in his tower and the world will come to him.
