  • i prefer to make fun of idiots online because its the most effective way to convince the lurkers who are on the fence and its really such a shame that the only options are making fun of idiots or engaging in pointless intellectual discussions with people who will never be convinced man i really wish there were a third way thatd be pretty cool dont you think so bart but really its all for the lurkers and calling people dummies on the internet makes a real difference and saves lives we are super important dont forget it buddy.

Counterpoint:

1. Do not engage conversation.

Go to them. DO NOT IGNORE THE ATTACKER. Instead, sucker punch the attacker in the throat.

2. Pick a random object and start using it to bash the fash.

It can be anything. A random cane borrowed from an elderly gentleman, a brick, whatever is close and well-suited to the task.

3. Keep building the bashed fash.

Keep eye contact with them and acknowledge the attacker's presence: they will know they fucked up.

4. Continue bashing until the attacker leaves and escort them to the funeral home if necessary.

Bring them to a neutral area with no bystanders where they can be bashed fully. Respect their wishes if they tell you to keep bashing them - but do not respect their wishes if they tell you to stop.

Yeah. I have pretty much prepared myself for both of those scenarios. The level of actual danger that guy created for fascist types here in Portland is hard to overstate.
