They are both so cute!

This is a thing that happened today.

The pup was in my lap, and the cat joined us.  This has never happened before.  I think if the cat had been there first, world war 3 would have broken out.

Also we have 3 stray kittens in isolation waiting to be picked up by the shelter. They were covered in fleas and had super bad upper respiratory infections, but all 3 are now much cleaner and already doing better.

One of my coworkers raises seeing eye dogs, and they actually have to kitten test them. So we did.

Just because you're unique doesn't mean you're useful.

If her employer is blocking those websites a browser change won't solve it.

Could a VPN solve it?

Yeah, or proxy server if her employers network doesn't block those.

I think people at my employer have been able to set up a VPN to their home network to check blocked sites.  I just use my phone.

kindly ask someone to unblock sites during lunch hours or after hours
they should have some kind of scheduling service for those options

A Florida Cat...

Shelter Cats Turn On Sink Faucet, Cause $5K in Damage to Florida Humane Society
Curiosity may not have killed these cats, but it did cause thousands of dollars in damage to the shelter that houses them.

At first, the Florida Humane Society in Pompano Beach thought the serious flooding that caused at least $5,000 in damage originated from a burst pipe. Upon further inspection, employees realized that it was one of the cats that had turned on a sink faucet that was left running for about 17 hours, ABC affiliate WPLG in Miami reported.

The shelter is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays - do they leave the cats uncared for and unfed for as long as 17 hours?

That's a good question.  Maybe it's not open to the public but there is someone who checks in on the animals? :???:

Shit, leave big enough bowls of water and food, cats can go 48 hours no problem.

Apparently at least one of them didn't have a big enough bowl of water. :parrot:

I'm willing to leave my cat for 48 hours, but I have the luxury of a mutual pet-sitting arrangement with my neighbour, so it never needs to happen. He gets food water and some attention every day if I'm away.
