Yeah, look at the google satellite view of the Alamo. That was a huge letdown when I saw it.

one of the worst things about living in san antonio is that if anyone came to visit they would want to see the goddamn alamo. it's a fucking tiny warehouse made out of dried clay. it has a pretty garden around it. otherwise, le epique meh.

Isn't there a plan to fix that or something?  I remember there was some recent discovery of an ancient path (or avenue or boulevard or whatever) and they were going to restore that which required relocation of the highway.

Probably, but council planning and approvals and land rights, etc., etc., etc.  in Britian will take another 5,000 years.
