This hasn't got anything to do with politics but it's one of the few things that made me laugh today:

So in the lines of this thread: self care in the times of Trump. Because its important to not get outrage fatigue; this is a marathon not a sprint. One has to get one's mind off of the fascist regime.

Tip 1: Go to Ikea. Best on a weekend. You will not think of Trump for an hour or two as you resist the constant urge to elbow your fellow citizens who just decide to stop fucking walking for no reason in the back of the head. If you find you are thinking of Trump, get your SO into a wheelchair and push him or her around as you navigate the aisles and pile cheap but really useful glassware inscrutably named for Swedish cities into large plastic bags. Pause for some meatballs half way. At the end, reward yourself with a frozen yogurt. Congratulations! You managed to kill nobody this afternoon!

Love is like a magic penny
if you hold it tight you won't have any
if you give it away you'll have so many
they'll be rolling all over the floor

Starting to believe that stair-phobia thing.

I don't know why they just don't install a stair lift in the White House. All Trump does is watch cable news. He's had to have seen the commercials.

There's a bunch of protests going in cities all over the UK, although I didn't make it to the one outside Downing Street in London.

The chants and slogans, are as you can imagine, somewhat British.

Leeds: *chanting* "You can't build a wall your hands are too small".
Edinburgh : "Yer maw was an immigrant ye fucken baw bag". At least one person has bagpipes, and someone's just holding up an actual "welcome" mat for outside a house.
Why do I bother?
