also, wsj/nbc repeated their poll from immediately after the tape (which had her winning by 11), after the debate, and she is now winning by 9.  within noise of the previous number of 11, so don't necessarily interpret as a decline.  if anything, it corroborates that she is leading by something like 10.

Ok, so at this stage we all know that, barring asteroid strikes, Clinton has the White House in the bag. The only interesting questions left are:

1/ How much more popcorn can we get out of The Donald, and

2/ How badly are the Repugs likely to do in the House and Senate?

And the fallout continues ....

Billy Bush is reportedly leaving NBC after vulgar Donald Trump tape leak

Quote
Billy Bush is leaving NBC after his involvement in a vulgar tape with Donald Trump that leaked Friday, CNN's Brian Stelter is reporting.

Bush, who has served as a cohost on NBC's "Today" show in the 9 a.m. hour since August, is negotiating his exit, according to CNN's sources.

One source told the news channel that the network will announce Bush's departure "in the coming days."
At this point in the national news cycle, who cares.

Trump Sunlight Campaign

Quote
Recent developments have lead many to believe that video footage of Donald Trump exists which proves that the person we have all come to know over the past year is not the person that he truly is - footage that reinforces what we have all just recently begun to see more clearly.

There are risks to releasing this footage, including a potential $5 million dollar lawsuit, other legal fees or adverse professional implications.

This campaign hopes to raise the funds to pay those pentalites and reward the whistleblower responsible with whatever remains to assist them as they move forward in their career.

Please help us out and our committee will ensure that at least one barrier to this evidence being presented to the American people is removed.

unlimited supply
2/ How badly are the Repugs likely to do in the House and Senate?
a week or two ago, the senate was going to be close, and the republicans were going to hold the house.  now, the democrats might take the senate, albeit barely, and the house may be close.

that's assuming current poll numbers are right and roughly hold.  either of those might not be true.  we saw in early September that trump can make the polls narrow just by keeping his mouth shut for a while.  but his ability to do that is limited, and even if he does, new revelations could screw him anyway.  one or two more tapes could be enough, if leaked at the right times.  and there are rumored to be many.  on the other hand, hillary's bank speech transcripts or the continued drip of news about the email investigation might start to get attention again.  or the last debate could go badly for her.

Really, what's the point? Anyone with half a brain already knows he is a sleazebag, and that there just has to be worse than what we have already seen. The ones without a brain will never stop worshipping him, no matter what is dredged up.

actually kind of jarring to look at the landslide male america would give this fascist lunatic and then to remember that once upon a time women couldn't vote.

I'm wondering how this maps to the distribution of MRAs.  Also wondering about the married vs single demographics in some of the red-if-male states.

I recently learned from twitter that the correct term is "low-T[estosterone] cucks". Old news probably, but I had only heard the plain "cuck" before. The "low-T" addition helpfully explains some voter priorities, though I think they're confusing narcissistic rage with testosterone-fueled dominance.

anecdotally suspect a strong correlation between mra's and white victimologists, and of course a strong correlation of both with core trump supporters.

as to married /not, I actually might guess a higher rate of marriage in red states, since I did read that they get married younger and am guessing are more averse to divorce.

still, I have a pet theory that some large percentage of conservative women have bottled up resentment of casual sexism and/or stockholm syndrome about it

Well about 2/3 of them, if the number of states corresponds with the number of actual voters (which it probably doesn't).

You can't imagine what a relief it will be to the neighbours to know just a (-n uncomfortably large) minority of Americans are raving fascists with lots of guns.

Y'all get out and vote, please, and make sure your aunties and grandmas have a drive to the polls.
