Guys, a guy I went to high school with and debated in Model Congress/UN was on Samantha Bee's show!He founded a local paper in New Brunswick after graduating from Rutgers and has become a known muckracker and gadfly. He's been arrested at least twice now on bullshit charges that got dismissed. The cops in particular fucking hate him, and a lot of the local politicians are super rude to him when he shows up to public meetings to ask questions. A few months ago, someone sent him a water meter that suggested people at the water authority were rigging shit, and the cops were all over him trying to get the story quiet.Anyway, here you go! http://www.avclub.com/article/samantha-bee-tries-save-local-journalism-one-newsp-252584
Can somebody explain to me how canceling a NYT subscription is OMG RADICAL PROTEST and an overreaction ?Like, I canceled my New Yorker subscription because, meh, I didn't really feel like paying for it anymore, and canceling because some business decision like hiring that moron for the op-ed board pissed you off seems like a better reason than my . But I'm not some crazy, foaming at the mouth radical for canceling my New Yorker subscription, am I? Jesus fucking christ WHO CARES. People stop subscribing to things or patronizing specific businesses every day for the dumbest of reasons, but now you need a goddamn airtight legal argument to justify canceling a fucking newspaper subscription, gtfo.
Do I want to know what "Dimms" are? I'm assuming it's their new term for Democrats. I've heard "Dimocrats" in the past, so I guess that's a short version, but why did they add a second m?ETA: Oh, I think it's because Dobbs writes the full version as "Dimmocrats," presumably because people might pronounce it with a long i if there was only one m, and then he carries the second m to the short version too. God what a weird try-hard attempt at a clever name. He might as well have just called them "Poopyfaces." It would have had the same effect with much less effort and confusion.
this is real, for really reals:https://twitter.com/existentialfish/status/870453571665506305https://twitter.com/LouDobbs/status/870419736508727298eta it's important for the left not to be all super smug and act like they know everything because that upsets conservatives and makes them reject any leftist ideas. we have to be nice, guys. super nice. it's all our fault if they believe dumb fucking bullshit. anyway, don't be smug. they don't like smug.
Trump supporters would let him shit in their mouths if it meant the liberal next to them had to smell it.
The Fox News host is facing allegations laid out in a Huffington Post report from last night that he sent "an unsolicited photo of male genitalia" to female colleagues. The reporting cites "14 sources in and out of Fox News and Fox Business" and contains the following details:The women did not solicit the messages, which they told colleagues were deeply upsetting and offensive. One of the recipients said that when she replied to Bolling via text, telling him never to send her such photos again, he did not respond. Four people, outside of the recipients, confirmed to HuffPost they'd seen the photo, and eight others said the recipients had spoken to them about it.Fox News said in a statement yesterday they plan to investigate the matter, and the investigation is being conducted by the law firm Paul, Weiss.Bolling's Saturday morning program Cashin' In was taped in advance, but did not air this morning and was replaced by a half-hour of America's News HQ instead.
