wow, when you put it that way, it sounds completely unremarkable.

In the same way that the berniebro "actually it's about ethics in economic anxiety" bullshit after the Trump election is completely unremarkable, sure. This goes for Corbyn's bullshit stance on Brexit and on immigration/refugees as well, where it is very clear that Corbyn sees civil rights as secondary to the economic concerns (right or wrong) of his base. I don't think Corbyn is salivating about the possibility of imposing a Maduro-esque terror across the UK, but his people are definitely willing to look past serious human suffering to double down on world socialist solidarity.

World Socialist Solidarity would be another good addition to the list of Great Band Names.

Are we there yet?

The important thing is we keep forcing different and perfectly compatible aspects of social justice, to be at odds with one another.

hmmm: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/10/barack-obama-rang-with-reassurance-for--theresa-may-on-election-night?CMP=share_btn_tw

Quote
Barack Obama rang Conservative headquarters on election night with a mistaken but reassuring message for Theresa May because Labour insiders had told him the party was expecting to lose seats, according to a new book about the election.

Shortly before the exit poll, which sent shockwaves through both party headquarters, the former US president contacted a friend in Tory central office with the soothing news that Labour was expecting to see the Conservatives increase their majority.

I read that article yesterday. It's awful and the author was rightly taken apart for it down in the comments.

THE RESPECTED BRITISH NEWSPAPER JOURNALIST Alexander Silveroy Scissors-Tremendously vanished from his room in the Grand Brighton Hotel on the night of Tuesday, September 26, the last night of Labour's Annual Party Conference. CCTV footage from the hotel shows him entering his room in a state of acute distress, possibly drunk, his hands trembling as he repeatedly slides his key card the wrong way into the door. When police were allowed into the room late the following day, they found it empty: the linens torn and scattered, the windows locked from the inside. There was no blood, no stray hairs, no flies; the room, for all its disorder, was found to be as sterile as a bioweapons lab. The only clue to Scissors-Tremendously's fate was a handwritten manuscript left damp but legible in the shower cubicle. Its text is reproduced here.

lol. OK. That's actually kind of funny. Mostly the names the author chose, but, still.
