Has anyone else started watching Ozark on Netflix?
Just saw the first episode and it was pretty intense from the start. Bateman is a legitimately good dramatic actor and director.

There are some good things about it but it takes itself way too seriously and is packed with overused tropes and cliches. I liked Esai Morales as the affably evil drug boss and the scrappy Ruth character. Did not like Ye Olde Clan of Criminal Hillbillies.

My son and I binged this a while ago. We both liked it.

Also hillbilly dad was a kind of likable good ole boy but his wife was scary crazy.

We've been watching it. Agree the hillbilly poppy farming criminals are over the top. Much preferred the pot growing hillbillies in Justified.

Like the Ruth character, and even her murderous dead uncle. Psychotic FBI agent needs drowning, get bored every time he's part of the plot.
