How often do you have to save his ass?

Says the strange guy.
I think this may be one of those "people who live in grass houses should not throw stones" situations.
Well, certainly shouldn't be tossing flames about.

So I remember discussing with a known scientist who was an ex-YEC. We talked about the way YECs tend to ignore or distort actual evidence that does not confirm to their worldview, how they generalize and obfuscate to make some sort of point, how they postulate world-wide conspiracies to explain absense of crucial evidence.

Then some time later, we were in a discussion about global warming. It turns out he was a firm AGW denier, and quite passionate about it. I watched as he ignored or distorted actual evidence that did not confirm to his worldview, generalized and obfuscated to make some sort of point, and postulated world-wide conspiracies to explain absense of crucial evidence.

It didn't even matter if he was right or wrong in the central issue: It was painfully obvious that he was using the same techniques and methods he had acknowledged and renounced in YECism. It seemed that his "demon" (to use Glenn Morton's term) wasn't exorcised after all; he had just found a different job.

Just putting that out there. I'm off to read some Kuhn again.
Morton himself is a passionate AGW denier, last I checked.

Did Daniel Ellsberg's head roll for leaking the Pentagon Papers?      :hmm:

Either McCabe or Comey or both are definitely going to jail.  Probably Brennan as well. All the cooperating Witnesses like struck and page may not, or they might get light sentences, we'll see. The big fish of course will be Hillary and Obama and it will be interesting to see if they are convicted of anything jail worthy as well.

Looks like Comey is being investigated for possibly leaking classified information.

Of course, nobody here is talking about that (or maybe I missed it?)
Suppose that is 100% correct, and he did leak classified info. What does that tell us about Trump, or the issue of potential collusion with Russia?
