Thor: Ragnarok
Most fun I've had in a cinema in a long time. :D

I'm curious to see how it goes in the US, as the humour is very, very antipodean.

Tookie Wahootoo is awesome so I'm sure it will do well here.

Finally saw it on Amazon movies - glad I didn't waste money on it on the big screen. It was OK, probably the best of the Thors but that isn't saying a lot. Hela was cool.

I loved comedian Thor. Who knew Chris Hemsworth would be a good comic lead?

One of my favorite Marvel movies so far. Probably because Hela was so cool.

The humour was too forced, trying too hard

But Hela yeah!

My wife's first comment when Hela appeared: "Oh shit, Galadriel claimed the Ring as her own"
Who even made the rule that we cannot group ducks and fish together for the simple reason that they are both aquatic? If I want to group them that way and it serves my purpose then I can jolly well do it however I want to and it is still a nested hierarchy and you can't tell me that it's not.

It's a weird storyline because they are trying to give Hela a backstory that in the comics really belongs more to Cul (she's actually Loki's daughter in the comics and was never locked away)

I did like the Valkyrie

This came available to rent last night so I watched it.  It was pretty good.  My theory for why some people didn't get it is because they are old.  I am pretty excited for Taiki Wahahatoo's next movie.

What about the theory that some people have taste?

I have no problem with the theory that some people have taste.   I'm sure that is why this movie is pretty well regarded, critically.  Although I am guessing that if you did a Venn Diagram of your version of "people with taste" and "old people," that Venn Diagram would be very close to a single circle.
