The similarity of the forelimbs of Deinonychus (left) and Archaeopteryx (right) led John Ostrom to revive the link between dinosaurs and birds.

No wonder the forelimbs of Deinonychus and Archaeopteryx are similar. They are both members of Eumaniraptora.
But that really tells us nothing about an hypothesized link between dinosaurs and birds.

So this "revival" was based on a misconception.

But seriously folks...
A thread with just four posts from one individual - only two of which contain any verbs, for christ's sake - ending with "This is all I plan to say on this topic" has no business being in a discussion forum.

It's pretty rare that I unwatch threads these days but socrates is pretty rare.

I guess Soccie's masterly anti evilutionist strategy has degenerated into drowning the forum in spam and boring us all to death

It's been that for years.
Who even made the rule that we cannot group ducks and fish together for the simple reason that they are both aquatic? If I want to group them that way and it serves my purpose then I can jolly well do it however I want to and it is still a nested hierarchy and you can't tell me that it's not.
