...
onezoom has a cool feature that lets you fly to a 'destination'. If you click on the link, Dave, you might find a nice surprise waiting for you.
That site crashes my browser (Safari on a MacBook Pro) every time I've tried to go there. :(
I have pretty much given up on Apple products for this and other reasons. This being jest the last in a stream of irritations. My Android phone does a better job on nearly every webpage than that shit Safari running on any mac or idevice.
Hmm, Onezoom works fine on my Mac and iDevices. Opening it on Chrome wedges my work PC. But that's an old Dell running Mint and Chrome is a ravenous pig.
I make Android apps for the boss but there is no way I'm ever going to pay for a Java phone. As an engineer I find running my stuff in a virtual machine with garbage collection on a battery powered device offensively stupid.

So Dave,
Have you clicked that last onezoom link yet? Here it is again: surprise for Dave

Or have you been overwhelmed by baby goats and the realization that the nested hierarchies found in biological systems (and not in human manufactured ones) strongly suggest common descent, and decided to bail from the thread permanently?

It's a shame since you promised to 'school' us on nested hierarchies. Not only did you never quite get around to this schooling, you still seem to have a very distorted understanding of the concept. Largely due to the reliance on Saint Denton who fucked up his description which you have hung your understanding on.

Dave is now famous on a site that clearly contradicts almost everything he believes in.  Classic.

I wonder if Dave realises that the Tree of Life is a fractal?

I kinda doubt Dave has a clear idea of what a fractal actually is.

Well, he doesn't know what non-linear means so, no.

Does anyone really know what nonlinear means? I mean, really know?

I remember someone proposing that using non-linear as a category is like using non-elephant as a type of animal.

Seems like a perfectly cromulent category to me.  :colbert:
