  • "il y a une chance que" generally calls for the subjunctive, so could someone please chance "peut" to "puissiez"? Failing that, at least change it to "pouvez" so it doesn't scream  "TalkRational: a republic of illiteracy" to the world.

Unions are historical curiosities?
Love is like a magic penny
if you hold it tight you won't have any
if you give it away you'll have so many
they'll be rolling all over the floor

In today's political climate? They will be if the plutocrats keep getting their way.

I've been seeing more pro-union things recently, including a couple simply pro-union ads on YouTube with no specific union attached. Also the Tampa Electric article pretty clearly tied those deaths to the company taking outside, non-union contractors. Was thinking of making a post in the "rebuilding the Democratic Party" thread about it, since that seems like it should be a key part - rebuilding the left-wing institutions that seem to have been breaking down over the past few decades.

Nah, they'll morph into Police Corporations. Selling us protection and service.
Are we there yet?

Every generation of workers has to learn about unions anew.
